Lesson Plans

Congratulations! You've made it this far! Now you're ready to start checking out the lesson plans and activities. If you find yourself getting a little lost *hey, it's a BIG web!* the buttons at the bottom of each page will help you find your way. The hands will take you FORWARD (hand pointing right) -- to the next page on this site -- and BACK (hand pointing left) -- to the previous page on this site -- respectively. If your head is spinning and you just want to start over, the spinning HOME button will take you there. If you go to someone else's page that I've linked to, use your browser's BACK button (at the top left side of your toolbar) to come back to me. Feel free to drop me an email (click on the swinging pencil below) if you'd like; I'd love to hear how your students did with the unit! Also, you may want to book mark this site (so you can find it again without typing in that big long address *grin*).

Select from the following levels. For the purposes of this site, Elementary means grades 3-5, Middle means grades 6-8, and High means grades 9-12, identical to the organization followed by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Standards. If you're not familiar with NCTM or the Standards 2000, click this button Button) and follow the links to the Standards 2000 document. If you're a K-2 teacher, you can probably enter the Elementary page and do most of the unit with a little modification for your students' ability and vocabulary level. If you're a special education teacher, pick the grade level most appropriate for your students. I think you will find the majority of the lesson can be used after a little modification. Now, pick a teacher that matches the grade level you're interested in and let's get started!
